Biography:

Robert Sygiel is the Sales Director of R.F. MacDonald’s Pump Business Unit. He has been involved in the pump industry for 35 years in various technical roles ranging from pump applications, training, service and management. Robert has worked for several pump manufactures as well as distribution. Robert holds a degree in Accounting from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.

Topic Heading:

“The internet of things (IoT) and it’s impact on equipment maintenance”

Synopsis:

Discussion about the rapidly moving technology impact on equipment monitoring. Devices are becoming more interconnected and Software is now available to provide real-time data so maintenance can more quickly react to equipment problems. Specific examples in the area of vibration and temperature monitoring will be discussed.
