"Whole Building Energy Modeling is the modern way to model anything from code compliance to how to optimize your building's performance. There are typically several major factors that can affect how accurate your model is. Everyone would like to create an exact replica of the building they are analyzing. This building may already exist or is yet to be built, but the time it takes to make an exact model is often very time consuming. So what factors are most important, and which ones have very little affect? Do you have utility data to compare the model to? Learning how to utilize data and the balance of accuracy and productivity is definitely an art."
